Mercedes-Benz South Africa is elevating the benchmark of the compact segment with the introduction of the highly anticipated A-Class Night Edition. Combining the legendary agility of the A-Class with an aggressive, darkened aesthetic, this special edition is designed for those who demand “class for every day” with a definitive edge.

A Design Defined by Shadow and Light

The Night Edition makes an instant impression, exclusively finished in the sophisticated and contemporary MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey solid or Polar White paint. The exterior narrative is one of “power and dynamism,” emphasised by the Night Edition’s signature styling cues:

    • The Night Package: Featuring high-gloss black wing mirrors and detailing around the window lines, providing a sharp contrast to the Alpine Grey finish.
    • AMG-Line: The model features the desired AMG-Line body styling package as standard. Further to this are exclusive 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke design light-alloy wheels from the Mercedes-AMG A35 range.
    • Illumination: Standard LED rear lights and flat headlamps ensure a “fascinating and emotionally appealing appearance” from dusk until dawn.

    Interior: Futuristic Architecture

Inside, the Night Edition mirrors the “illumination of a futuristic building at night.” The cabin is anchored by the freestanding dual-screen display, featuring a 10.25-inch central touchscreen that brings the latest generation of MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) to the driver’s fingertips.

    Key interior highlights include:

    • Aviation-Inspired Design: Three turbine-look air vents pay homage to the world of flight.
    • Tactile Luxury: A revised steering wheel in Nappa leather comes as standard, complementing the redesigned high-tech centre console.
    • Simplified Premium Logic: Mercedes-Benz has bundled the most desirable functional features into this edition, including a reversing camera, the Mirror Package, and the Parking Package.

    Performance: The A200 Heartbeat

Under the hood, the A200 Night Edition balances efficiency with spirited performance. The powertrain delivers a refined 120kW and 270Nm of torque, providing the effortless acceleration and responsiveness expected of a premium compact hatchback in the South African urban landscape.

“With the Night Edition, we have responded to our customers’ desire for exclusivity and simplified choice,” says Alexandra Boavida VP Sales and Marketing Mercedes-Benz South Africa. “By bundling the AMG-Line’s athletic DNA with the mysterious allure of the Night Package, we’ve created an A-Class that is truly unique.”

Pricing: A-Class Night Edition: From R 889,700 (incl vat) and 5 year / 100 000km service and maintenance plan.
