British carmaker Ineos has unveiled the Grenadier Quartermaster double cab bakkie.
- The bakkie promises the same off-road capability as the Grenadier SUV.
- While sharing most components with the SUV, the bakkie’s chassis is 305mm longer.
- This results in a 1,564mm long and 1,619mm wide load bay to carry a Euro pallet.
- Payload capacity is 760kg and towing capacity 3,500kg.
- The cabin can seat five people.
- The bakkie is powered by BMW’s 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engines with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
- It has 264mm of ground clearance and 800mm wading depth.
- The Quartermaster line-up mirrors the SUV’s trim levels.
- There is no official launch date yet for South Africa but local pricing will be released on August 1.
