    Nissan Crowns its Top SA and African Dealers

    Algoa Nissan is Nissan South Africa’s dealer of the year. The dealership received the title at the company’s glittering awards ceremony, with Ghana’s Japan Motors taking the honours for the best Nissan dealership in Nissan Independent Markets Africa (NIMA).

    The gala event, which marked the mid-point of the three-day inaugural Festival of Nissan headlined by the launch of the brand new TEKTON, saw Nissan dealers across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa recognised for their efforts across multiple categories.

    NTT Nissan Bloemfontein won the dealer of the year title in the large dealership category for South Africa, with NTT Nissan Secunda Helderberg winning the medium category and Nissan Algoa the small segment.

    Known as the Ignition Awards, the event also recognised the Nissan Aftersales Department of the Year, in small, medium and large dealerships, as well as best new vehicle sales department, best customer quality dealership and best Nissan finance dealership for South Africa.

    In the NIMA region, the categories awarded performances such as: Best National Sales Company in small, medium and large categories, Best After Sales National Sales Company in the three categories and most consistent market share performance.

    Congratulating the winners Nissan Africa President Jordi Vila said:

    “The Dealer of the Year Awards are a key component of this inaugural Festival of Nissan because they remind us that the future of this brand in South Africa, and across Africa, will not be shaped by products alone.

    “Products open the door. Dealers build the relationship. Dealers keep customers moving. Dealers give meaning to the Nissan promise in towns, cities and communities across Africa every day.”

    South Africa, said Nissan South Africa managing director Juan Wheeler, is one of Nissan’s most important markets on the continent, with a heritage that stretches back 65 years and a future that is being renewed through products such as the all-new Nissan TEKTON, the updated X-TRAIL, the new Navara and the next Patrol.

    “These vehicles and the other exciting models that we have in the pipeline carry our ambition. But your dealerships carry our reputation.”

    Nissan Africa head of brand and communications, Ramy Mohareb said the company was extremely proud of its dealer network.

    “Across South Africa, our customers are never more than 25 minutes from an authorised Nissan dealership, giving Nissan drivers and owners the reassurance that expert support is always within reach.”

    This mattered to every customer who wanted to know that Nissan stood behind every vehicle it sold in the country, Mohareb said.

    “Our dealers are the guarantee of that trust. They invest in the best technical staff. They carry the right spares. They operate with the right equipment and as such represent the standards, skill and care that turn a product promise into a customer experience.”

    Wheeler agreed: “In many ways, our dealers are the face, the hands and the heart of Nissan in South Africa and it is our privilege to honour their achievements across every aspect of the dealer business ecosystem.”

    Nissan New Vehicle Sales Department of the Year:

    Medium: Autocity Nissan Heidelberg
    Large: NTT Nissan Bloemfontein

    Nissan New Vehicle Fleet Department:

    Small category: JB’s Nissan
    Medium category: Bidvest McCarthy Nissan Germiston
    Large category: Bidvest McCarthy Nissan Randburg


    Best Nissan Customer Quality, Sales and Service:

    Small: Algoa Nissan
    Medium: DTM Paarl
    Large: Mark White Nissan

    Best Nissan Finance Dealer:

    Small: Kokstad Nissan
    Medium: Brits Nissan
    Large: Mark White Nissan

    Nissan Dealer Group of the Year: NTT Group

    Nissan Dealer of the Year South Africa:

    Small: Algoa Nissan
    Medium: NTT Nissan Secunda
    Large: NTT Nissan Bloemfontein

    Nissan Dealer of the Year overall: Algoa Nissan

    Nissan Independent Markets Africa (NIMA) Best After Sales National Sales Company of the Year:

    Small: Old East SA – Burundi
    Medium : Motus Africa – Malawi
    Large: ATC Comafrique – Ivory Coast
