The Shoprite Group has opened a new Checkers Hyper, UNIQ Clothing by Checkers and Petshop Science at Irene Village Mall in Centurion, continuing the expansion momentum that saw it surpass its store rollout target in the previous reporting period.
Together, the new stores in Irene created 115 employment opportunities in the area, including 102 positions at Checkers Hyper.
The 5 369 m² hypermarket offers a world-class shopping experience, with a wide selection of fresh food, groceries, general merchandise and speciality offerings, supported by a range of convenient in-store services.

Customers can also enjoy a variety of speciality food offerings, including Sushi, Krispy Kreme, Kauai, Tandoori Chicken, a Coffee Shop, Milkshake Bar, Hamburger Bar, Smoothie Bar and Chocolate Fountain.
Additional in-store services and features include a Refrigerated Flower Cart and Money Market Counter.

Checkers Hyper Irene Village will trade from Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 19:00; Saturday, 08:00 to 18:00; and Sunday, 08:00 to 17:00.
