The Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA) is inviting applications for the position of Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on a five-year fixed-term contract. As the province’s premier economic development entity, the GGDA plays a central role in driving investment, innovation, and industrialisation within the Gauteng City Region. The CEO will lead the Group in fulfilling its mandate to promote inclusive economic growth, facilitate sustainable job creation, and position Gauteng as Africa’s investment hub of choice.

Reporting to the Board, the Group CEO will provide strategic direction and leadership across all GGDA subsidiaries, including the Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC), The Innovation Hub (TIH), Constitution Hill (ConHill), and the Gauteng Industrial Development Zone (GIDZ). This executive role requires a forward-thinking leader who can drive collaboration between the public and private sectors, champion innovation, and ensure that all Group entities deliver on their developmental objectives in alignment with provincial economic priorities.

The ideal candidate will be an accomplished executive with a proven track record in economic development, industrial policy, or large-scale organisational leadership. They must possess the ability to influence diverse stakeholders, build strategic partnerships, and foster performance excellence within a complex multi-entity structure. The CEO will also oversee governance, risk management, and ethical compliance across the Group, ensuring that the GGDA remains a credible and impactful driver of Gauteng’s growth agenda.

Applications for the CEO position and other listed vacancies must be submitted online at https://bit.ly/GGDAGroupRecruitment by 23 November 2025. Diversity and inclusivity are key priorities, and the GGDA encourages applications from women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
