Jan Oberholzer, former COO and current advisor of Eskom, is leaving the company at the end of July.

    1. Oberholzer was on a two-year contract to oversee projects at Koeberg and Kusile power plants.
    2. Eskom and Oberholzer agreed to part ways by mutual agreement.
    3. According to a statement by the utility Eskom expects fewer blackouts from this week after bad planning led to the worst power cuts in a month amid a cold snap.
