PepsiCo has appointed Suraya Hamdulay as Corporate Affairs Senior Director for Southern Africa. Suraya assumed the role on 1 July 2026.
The appointment reflects PepsiCo’s continued investment and commitment to strengthening its position as one of the region’s leading food companies.
Hamdulay is a seasoned Corporate Affairs executive with extensive experience spanning FMCG, telecommunications, government, advisory, and sustainability leadership roles across Africa.
Her career has focused on corporate reputation, public policy engagement, ESG strategy, and stakeholder management in complex, multi-market environments.
Drawing on this experience, Hamdulay will lead efforts to advance PepsiCo Positive (pep+), the company’s long‑term transformation strategy aimed at building a more sustainable food system. The strategy emphasises supporting sustainable agriculture, offering positive choices for consumers, and creating lasting value for people, communities, and the business.
In her role, Hamdulay will maintain and grow key stakeholder partnerships across the public and private sectors, while continuing to drive conversations on topics that matter for the region – nutrition, agriculture, sustainability, job creation and investment.
Hamdulay was previously the Corporate Affairs Director for Mars Southern Africa, where she led public affairs, regulatory engagement, ESG integration, and strategic communications across a multi-billion-dollar regional business. Prior to this, she was Group Executive Head of Sustainability and Corporate Citizenship at Vodacom Group, where she led the ESG strategy, integrated reporting, and sustainability initiatives across multiple African markets.
