Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) received the prestigious SJM Flex Environmental award for the 10th time at the 28th annual Exporters Eastern Cape awards on October 20, 2023.
- The SJM Flex Environmental award is bestowed upon an ISO 14001-accredited exporter that demonstrates a commitment to environmental management excellence. VWSA has consistently upheld this standard, last winning the award in 2022.
- In addition to the SJM Flex Environmental award, VWSA also received a merit award in the Best Exporter – OEM category, further recognizing its outstanding contributions to the export industry.
- VWSA’s environmental sustainability initiatives were acknowledged with another recent accolade, the Lean & Green Management award, highlighting the company’s dedication to sustainable practices.
- Martina Biene, VWSA Chairperson and Managing Director, expressed pride in the company’s impact as an economic contributor and environmentally responsible corporate citizen in the Eastern Cape.
