Fastjet Zimbabwe is set to enhance its service on the busy Johannesburg–Harare route by introducing an additional flight, responding to the increasing demand from business travelers. Starting from 29 September 2025, the new service will operate daily except on Saturdays, utilizing the airline’s Embraer ERJ145 aircraft.
This new flight will feature an early-morning departure from Johannesburg, allowing travelers to maximize their business day in Harare.
“Aviation is a catalyst for economic development,” stated Nunurai Ndawana, Fastjet Zimbabwe spokesman. “We believe our morning service will facilitate the smooth movement of businesspeople, thereby strengthening trade relations between Johannesburg and Harare.”
Vivian Ruwuya, Fastjet Zimbabwe’s chief commercial officer, added, “We are continuously looking to provide our customers with flexible flight times that cater to their travel needs. Recently, we’ve observed a growing demand for early morning departures from Johannesburg to Harare. Our Fastjet flight FN8220 now accommodates this need, resulting in a full business day in Harare.”
The additional flight is now available for booking, with the following schedule:
Flight Schedule (starting 29 September 2025):
- Johannesburg to Harare – Flight FN8220: Daily except Saturdays, departing at 6:55 AM and arriving at 8:40 AM.
- Harare to Johannesburg – Flight FN8337: Daily except Saturdays, departing at 7:00 PM and arriving at 8:50 PM.
