    10 Southern African startups get a financial boost from World Bank

    10 SA startup founders

    10 Southern African startups were awarded R90,000 each.

    1. The initiative is aimed at providing low-cost and appropriate savings and de-risking products for the low- and middle-income market and lending solutions for SMEs.
    2. The award ceremony was held in South Africa.
    3. Six of the winning startups are from South Africa.
    4. Two are from Lesotho.
    5. One is from Botswana.
    6. One is from Namibia.
    7. The awardees went through an eight-week investment readiness program.
