    Access Bank SA appoints Sandile Shabalala as CEO

    Sandile Shabalala has been appointed as the CEO of Access Bank South Africa to lead the bank’s growth and innovation.

    1. Shabalala brings over three decades of banking experience and a track record of driving growth and managing risk.
    2. He previously served as the business and commercial banking CE at Sasfin Bank, where he established and developed the Business Banking division.
    3. Shabalala was also the CEO of TymeBank, where he led the successful launch and positioned the bank as a disruptive force in the South African banking industry.
    4. He holds a Bachelor of Administration degree and a Master’s in Business Leadership from South African universities.
    5. Shabalala has completed executive education programs at prestigious institutions like Harvard Business School and INSEAD Business School.
    6. In his new role as CEO, Shabalala will leverage his expertise in strategic planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to drive Access Bank’s growth and maintain its position as an innovative African bank.
