    2. Mustek is an assembler and distributor of ICT products, representing well-known brands such as Acer, Asus, Samsung, and Lenovo. The company was established in 1987.
    3. Mophatlane co-founded BCX (previously known as Business Connection) with his late brother in 1996. BCX merged with Comparex Africa in 2004, and Mophatlane assumed various executive roles before becoming the group CEO after his brother’s passing.
    4. BCX, currently part of Telkom, operates as Telkom’s enterprise IT business. It was sold in 2015.
    5. Mophatlane is an experienced businessperson who currently serves as an independent non-executive director for Pepkor Holdings and previously held the same role for Exxaro.
    6. Reverend Vukile Mehana, the previous chair of Mustek, has announced his intention to retire as a non-executive director and chairperson after the group’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) expected to take place on November 23.
    7. Mustek recognizes Mophatlane’s extensive experience in business growth and his strong network in the ICT, financial services, and retail industries across various African countries. His appointment brings valuable expertise to the company.

Mophatlane’s appointment to Mustek’s board of directors underscores the company’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and leveraging Mophatlane’s expertise in expanding its operations and influence in the ICT sector.
