Investec CEO Fani Titi’s total remuneration increased 73% to £7.501m (R179.8m) in the 2023 financial year.

    1. CFO Nishlan Samujh’s total remuneration came to £4.298m in 2023, or 147% more than the previous financial year.
    2. The Investec share price has significantly outperformed its comparator indices in both the UK and SA over the past three years.
    3. The remuneration committee believes that the executive directors have performed very well and their remuneration is reflective of the overall financial and nonfinancial performance.
    4. Outgoing executive directors Richard Wainwright and Ciaran Whelan, who will remain with the group until 2025 when they retire, did less well, relatively speaking.
    5. The remuneration committee was assisted in its considerations by Korn Ferry in the UK and legal firm Bowmans in SA.
    6. One of the areas of focus for Investec’s remuneration committee in the 2024 financial year will be the proposed development of a new directors’ remuneration policy.
