Eaton, an intelligent power management company, is strengthening its presence and customer support in South Africa with the opening of its new head office, Solutions Studio and expanded warehousing facilities in Longmeadow, Johannesburg, together with a new logistics partner, DP World.

These developments give Eaton Electric South Africa’s partners and customers greater access to product demonstrations, technical expertise, delivery, and support. The new Solutions Studio provides hands-on exposure to Eaton’s power management technologies, while the expanded warehousing facilities strengthen local product availability and customer support.

    Supporting SA’s energy transition

South Africa’s energy landscape is changing as businesses and organisations look for more reliable, efficient, and resilient ways to manage their power. At the same time, growing electrification and investment in new generation are increasing the need for intelligent power management.

Electricity is the fastest-growing energy market. According to the International Energy Agency, global electricity demand grew by 3% in 2025, more than twice the rate of other energy contributors. This momentum encourages sectors and companies to invest in intelligent power management and generation. South Africa is a prime example of this transition to increase energy security and lower electricity costs, with 7.5 GW of renewable projects registered last year.

“South Africa continues to face energy and electrification challenges, but we are seeing encouraging progress towards greater energy security and resilience. This reinforces Eaton’s commitment to the country and our belief in the important role South Africa can play in the global energy transition,” says Nistine van Ryneveld, Eaton South Africa Sales Leader.

    Strengthened product availability

The opening of Eaton Electric South Africa’s new facilities underscores its confidence in South Africa’s energy transitions. It also demonstrates Eaton’s long-term commitment to support domestic customers and local investment, strengthening Eaton’s presence in South Africa.

Eaton will continue to offer global market-leading technologies at competitive local prices, supported by service, advice, and expertise from Eaton professionals and partners.

“Our new Solutions Studio gives customers a hands-on opportunity to experience our latest technologies and demonstrates how our integrated solutions can drive efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in real-world environments. This investment reflects our commitment to being a collaborative partner, helping our customers get the early advantage of new technological trends and efficiencies. Together, we’re helping build SA’s energy future,” says Nistine.

Get Eaton products on time, anywhere

Eaton’s expanded warehousing facilities support the reliable availability of its broad portfolio of power management solutions, spanning power distribution, power quality and back-up power, electrical control and protection, and life-safety technologies.

Managed through a new partnership with DP World, customers nationwide receive their orders on time. This improved warehousing network reflects Eaton’s evolving operating model, centred on local commitment, proven solutions, and full lifecycle support.
