South Africa’s favourite draught just got a bold new upgrade. Castle Lite, the leader in the draught beer category, has officially launched Draught in a Can — bringing the smooth draught experience out of just the bar and into the hands of fans everywhere. For the first time, the smooth draught experience traditionally only enjoyed at certain bars is now available in a convenient can.

And where better to launch this new innovation than the electric stage of LIV Golf South Africa.
As the eyes of the sporting world turned to Steyn City on Day 1, Castle Lite used the moment to unveil its newest innovation — delivering the same smooth, ice-cold draught taste South Africans love – now in a can.

But this wasn’t your average product launch. A sealed trophy case — expected to contain silverware — instead revealed Castle Lite’s newest innovation: Draught in a Can. – and who better to walk this innovation into the experience than seasoned trophy winner Pieter Stef du Toit and Castle Lite ambassador Juicy Jay.

In a cinematic sequence played across the venue, the champion and one of South Africa’s most formidable athletes, arrived carrying a sealed trophy case. At any global sporting event, a case like that usually holds silverware. This time, it held something even cooler.

As South Africa’s favourite draught, Castle Lite has long defined extra cold refreshment — famously enjoyed at -2.5°C. With Draught in a Can, that signature
ice-cold, smooth draught experience can now be enjoyed anywhere, without compromising on quality.

Castle Lite Brand Director Colleen Duvenage says the platform and innovation are a natural pairing: “When you lead the draught category in South Africa, you set the standard for elevating the entire category. LIV Golf SA gave us a stage that matches our ambition — an innovative golfing property where fans gather to celebrate sport, music and culture”. With Draught in a Can, the brand brings that same smooth draught experience, which was previously only available on tap, into a convenient new format designed for more occasions and more places.

Castle Lite has long been synonymous with South Africa’s biggest social platforms. In 2026, the brand is dialling up one of these occasions at the very first LIV Golf SA — turning every tee-off, every birdie and every celebration into an amplified fan experience.

Following its exclusive unveiling at the tournament, Castle Lite Draught in a Can will be rolling out nationwide at a store near you. This was more than a product launch.

It was Castle Lite opening the next chapter of draught.
