    Cabinet approves job cut strategy: 7,000 Post Office jobs at stake as liquidation looms

    The South African Post Office (SAPO) is on the brink of liquidation.

    1. Cabinet has approved a plan to cut 7,000 jobs at SAPO in an effort to save it.
    2. The plan also includes a restructuring of SAPO’s operations.
    3. The plan has been met with mixed reactions, with some unions threatening to strike.
    4. The future of SAPO is uncertain, but the plan is a last-ditch effort to save the embattled entity.
