Volvo Cars South Africa has launched the EX30, the country’s first affordable premium electric vehicle (EV), which is aimed at making EVs more accessible to South African consumers.

    1. The EX30 is priced at R699,000, making it significantly cheaper than other premium EVs currently available in the country.
    2. The vehicle has a range of up to 400 km on a single charge, making it suitable for longer journeys, and can be charged to 80% in just 40 minutes using a fast charger.
    3. The EX30 is based on Volvo’s successful XC40 model and features the latest safety and connectivity technology, including a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
    4. The launch of the EX30 is part of Volvo’s global strategy to shift towards electric mobility, with the company aiming for 50% of its sales to be electric by 2025.
    5. The EX30 is expected to be popular among environmentally conscious consumers and those looking for a premium driving experience at an affordable price.
