Ineos Grenadier ups its game with double-cab bakkie

    July 17, 2023By Staff Writer
Lynn Calder - Ineos Grenadier CEO

British carmaker Ineos has unveiled the Grenadier Quartermaster double cab bakkie.

    1. The bakkie promises the same off-road capability as the Grenadier SUV.
    2. While sharing most components with the SUV, the bakkie’s chassis is 305mm longer.
    3. This results in a 1,564mm long and 1,619mm wide load bay to carry a Euro pallet.
    4. Payload capacity is 760kg and towing capacity 3,500kg.
    5. The cabin can seat five people.
    6. The bakkie is powered by BMW’s 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engines with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
    7. It has 264mm of ground clearance and 800mm wading depth.
    8. The Quartermaster line-up mirrors the SUV’s trim levels.
    9. There is no official launch date yet for South Africa but local pricing will be released on August 1.
