    NakedFleet Launches EV Shuttle Service at Cape Town Airport With R20 Million Investment

    Naked-fleet today announced a landmark R20 million investment to launch a fleet of electric vehicle (EV) airport shuttles serving Cape Town International Airport.

     This initiative marks a major step toward sustainable urban mobility and positions Naked-fleet as a leader in eco-friendly transport solutions within the Western Cape. 

    The investment will fund the acquisition of a modern fleet of electric shuttles, charging infrastructure, and smart booking technology aimed at delivering efficient, reliable, and environmentally responsible transport between Cape Town International Airport, the CBD, Century City, and surrounding hospitality hubs. The EV Airport shuttle services will run hourly scheduled service from Cape town International Airport to the city bowl. 

    The launch of the proposed service is expected to begin officialy on the 1st of June 2026. Naked-fleet aims to expand to the Cape wine-lands on their second phase. 

    “Our vision is simple: to redefine airport mobility while reducing our carbon footprint,” said Mandla Beje, Co-founder of Naked-fleet. “This R20 million investment reflects our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and providing world-class transport solutions to both residents and visitors in Cape Town.” 

    Key Highlights of the Investment:

    -Acquisition of a fully electric shuttle fleet

    -Dedicated airport routes connecting key commercial and tourism nodes

    -Partnership opportunities with hotels, travel operators, and corporate clients

    -Smart booking platform with real-time tracking-Job creation and skills.

    -Development in the green transport sector 

    The service is expected to launch in phases, with initial operations commencing in high-demand corridors linking the airport to major hotels and business districts.
