GoTyme Bank, formerly TymeBank, today announced changes in its retail network as part of its next phase of growth, reflecting how customer banking behaviour has changed over the past seven years.
As part of its expansion strategy, from March 2026 GoTyme Bank will start rolling out dedicated Customer Hubs in malls across the country, offering customers enhanced support– including the issuing of debit cards. The bank will also continue operating kiosks in TFG and Boxer stores.
From 31 March 2026, the bank’s kiosks will no longer be available in Pick n Pay stores. The double Smart Shopper points benefit for transactions made with a current TymeBank card at a Pick n Pay will also end on 31 March. The retail giant will, however, remain a key cash-in and cash-out partner for GoTyme Bank customers. Customers can continue to withdraw and deposit cash at Pick n Pay, and they will continue to earn standard SmartShopper points when using their current bank card.

Next chapter of the phygital model
GoTyme Bank highlighted that these changes form part of its long-term “phygital” strategy to align physical access points with customer behaviour while continuing to provide convenient cash services through established retail partners.
“The footprint we needed when we launched seven years ago is not the same footprint we need today,” said Nolwazi Nzama, Executive for Customer Experience and Operations at GoTyme Bank. “Our customers are banking more digitally and engaging in different retail spaces. We remain committed to being where our customers are.”
“This evolution reflects our commitment to continuously improving how and where we serve our customers,” said Nzama. “We are investing in Customer Hubs that allow us to deliver a more dedicated and enhanced customer experience while maintaining convenient access to cash services through Pick n Pay. We are grateful to Pick n Pay for their continued partnership and support in helping us serve our customers nationwide.”
