The Tank 500, a larger sibling to the Tank 300, is expected to launch in South Africa within the next few weeks.

    1. The Tank 500 measures 5,070mm in length, 1,934mm in width, and 1,905mm in height, making it a rival to the Toyota Prado, Land Rover Defender, and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
    2. The Tank 500 will be available with either five or seven seats and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine hybrid system, producing 255kW and 648Nm.
    3. The SUV features a nine-speed automatic gearbox, torque-on-demand four-wheel-drive system, and selectable modes for various terrain.
    4. The Tank 500 is expected to come with a generous spec sheet, including heated seats, ambient lighting, sunroof, keyless entry, and dual-zone climate control.
    5. The Tank logo is associated with serious off-roading, and each car comes with Crawl Control, a chassis-view camera, and a Tank Turn function.
    6. Pricing has yet to be announced, but the Tank 300 HEV starts at R851,950, indicating a higher price point for the Tank 500, likely over R1 million.
