    Sony Unveils “Creative Entertainment Vision” at CES 2025

    Sony Group Corporation (“Sony”) will exhibit at CES® 2025, taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from Tuesday, January 7 (PST), under the theme “Creative Entertainment Vision,” outlining the long-term vision for Sony’s aspirations over the next decade.

    Hiroki Totoki, President, COO, and CFO of Sony Group Corporation, took the stage at Sony’s press conference held on Monday, January 6. Alongside a diverse lineup of speakers, he introduced several foundational initiatives leading toward Sony’s “Creative Entertainment Vision,” including new solutions that promote creative freedom, such as a new vehicle processing system and the latest innovations for spatial content creation. Additionally, Sony highlighted initiatives in the anime sector aimed at expanding the fan community, along with projects focused on transforming game IP into visual works, collaborating with music artists, and creating new location-based entertainment experiences to broaden the reach of game IP from multiple perspectives. Key announcements included the production of an anime series based on the game “Ghost of Tsushima: Legends,” the launch of a new manga app called “Crunchyroll Manga,” and the release month for the drama series “The Last of Us” Season 2.

    Furthermore, guest speaker Roger Goodell, Commissioner of the US National Football League, joined Sony to discuss the latest advancements in sports entertainment. Sony Honda Mobility also unveiled its electric vehicle “AFEELA 1,” set to begin accepting orders in 2025, exemplifying innovation in mobility.

    Totoki concluded the press conference by emphasizing that Sony’s “Creative Entertainment Vision” involves collaboration among creators, partners, and Sony colleagues to create infinite realities that spark imagination and generate a boundless sense of Kando.

    Aligned with its “Creative Entertainment Vision,” Sony’s exhibition will showcase the latest technologies and initiatives aimed at unleashing creator creativity and maximizing IP value. The booth is structured around three phases of Sony’s vision: “Creativity Unleashed,” “Boundaries Transcended,” and “Narratives Everywhere.” It features an artistic representation of Sony’s envisioned future of creation, where content is born and expanded through co-creation among creators.

    • New Vehicle Processing System “PXO AKIRA”: A cutting-edge system enhancing the traditional method of filming vehicles, combining robotic camera cranes, motion platforms, and LED volume technology for Virtual Production.
    • “XYN™” Integrated Software and Hardware Solution: Designed to support spatial content creation, utilizing unique imaging and sensing technologies for efficient 3D CG production.
    • LEGO® Horizon Adventures™: A playful story inspired by the Horizon world, featuring a theme song by mxmtoon, with interactive game experiences available at the booth.
    • Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle: An immersive exhibit themed around the popular anime series, including a photo booth recreating iconic poster imagery.
    • Location-Based Entertainment Concept “The Last of Us”: A proof-of-concept showcasing advanced technologies to provide immersive experiences based on the acclaimed game.
