Anglo American delivered a strong Q2 performance, maintaining production guidance for most assets, except coal.

    1. Copper production is on track, with a 2% increase in H1 2023, despite a 6% decrease in Q2.
    2. Minas-Rio achieved a record Q2 performance, offset by a planned decrease at Kumba.
    3. Iron ore production was flat, with Kumba’s total production decreasing by 1%.
    4. Platinum group metal (PGM) production was 2% lower, reflecting expected lower volumes.
    5. Steelmaking coal production increased by 26%, driven by higher production from Grosvenor and Dawson.
    6. Anglo American revised its steelmaking coal guidance for 2023 to 14-15.5 million tonnes, due to the underground fire at Grosvenor.
