Headless Body of CEO Found in Russia

    September 8, 2025By Staff Writer

The body of Alexey Sinistyn, CEO of potassium and magnesium mining company K-Potash Service, was discovered near Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave on Monday. Reports from Russian media indicate that Sinistyn was found decapitated, with law enforcement officials stating that the body was located under a bridge with a tow rope attached.

Sinistyn had been leading K-Potash Service since October 2022, focusing on the development of a potash mine near the border with Poland. His death marks the 19th mysterious fatality among senior Russian executives since the onset of the war in Ukraine in February 2022.

The list of deceased includes prominent figures from the energy, transport, and real estate sectors, many affiliated with some of Russia’s largest companies. According to Azerbaijani news service Caliber, ten of these deaths occurred in 2022 alone, with circumstances often involving falls from windows, gunshot wounds, or unexplained natural causes.

The alarming trend of unexplained deaths among senior executives continues to raise concerns about the safety and political stability within Russia’s business community.
