State-owned signal distributor Sentech has announced several high-level leadership appointments as part of its ongoing efforts to transform and modernise. The company, focused on providing digital infrastructure and platform services to support government’s goal of universal connectivity, is shifting toward a more customer-centric operating model.

Clarinda Simpson has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), replacing Rudzani Rasikhinya. Her arrival marks a key step in strengthening Sentech’s financial leadership.

In addition to the CFO role, Sentech has reorganised its leadership structure to bolster its commercial focus and operational efficiency. The company has appointed four new Chief Commercial Officers (CCOs) to oversee its core business segments:

    • Flenk Mnisi as CCO for satellite services
    • Marlon Finnis as CCO for managed infrastructure services
    • Kopano Thage as CCO for media distribution
    • Marius Venter as CCO for broadband services

Furthermore, Nomahlubi Ogoh has joined as the new Chief Information Officer (CIO), bringing fresh expertise to Sentech’s digital and technological strategy.

These leadership changes are part of a broader organisational redesign aimed at unlocking growth across Sentech’s main verticals: media distribution, broadband, satellite, and managed infrastructure.

CEO Tebogo Leshope, who was officially appointed on 23 May after serving as acting CEO since November 2023, highlighted that these appointments are crucial for executing the company’s strategic objectives.

“Sentech’s board and CEO congratulate all appointees and are confident their expertise will be instrumental in driving forward our vision of expanding digital connectivity,” Leshope said.

The organisational shake-up signals a renewed focus on operational excellence and growth, positioning Sentech to better serve South Africa’s digital future.
