    Matias Cardarelli - PPC CEO

Matias Cardarelli has been appointed as the new CEO of PPC, a leading cement company. He will serve as CEO for the next four years, starting from the last quarter of 2023.

    1. Cardarelli will be taking over the position from Roland van Wijnen, who will continue in his role until the end of 2023 to ensure a smooth transition.
    2. Cardarelli brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held various positions in private cement companies. He has previously headed and chaired Natal Portland Cement (NPC), which is part of the Intercement group.
    3. During his career, Cardarelli has successfully led the operational and financial turnaround of Amreyah Cement in Egypt and played a key role in scaling up Yguazu Cementos in Paraguay.
    4. As CEO, Cardarelli will be responsible for providing strategic direction and overseeing the operations of PPC. His extensive industry knowledge and leadership skills will be instrumental in driving the company’s growth and success.
    5. Cardarelli’s appointment reflects PPC’s commitment to strengthening its market position and driving profitability. His track record in turning around underperforming cement companies positions him well to lead PPC through its future endeavors.
    6. Cardarelli’s appointment comes at a crucial time for the cement industry, which is experiencing both challenges and opportunities. His expertise and vision will play a vital role in navigating the evolving landscape and positioning PPC for long-term success.
