Jeep® South Africa has partnered with IFBB Pro bodybuilder, Sibusiso Kotelo, the first Black South African to earn an IFBB Pro League card, to reflect the disciplined, resilient and determined spirit of the Jeep® Gladiator.

Sibusiso’ who doubles as the official ‘Impi Warrior’ leading the pre-match entrance for South Africa’s Springbok rugby team, driving the gees that pre-empts each game, has an inspiring story that was built long before he was thrust into the spotlight.

From training sessions before the sun came up, seasons when his next meal or competition fee wasn’t guaranteed, and a quiet inner drive to keep moving forward, Sibusiso never gave up on pursuing his passions and becoming a role model for all ages.

Alex Shahini, Jeep South Africa Brand Communications Manager says there are multiple synergies between the new partnership. “The Jeep® Gladiator represents freedom, brawn and the capability to always move forward, all of which are qualities that mirror Sibusiso’s journey from Lamontville in Durban to the world stage and the future he continues to build as a husband and a father of two.”

Additionally, Shahini mentions: “There would be no other vehicle available on the market that would be more suitable for one of South Africa’s greatest and most recognizable contemporary warrior figures. The Gladiator name alone itself tells that story and for us to be able to partner with Sibusiso in this phase of his career, growing from strength to strength in projects and competitions is a match made from the toughest conditions.”

“This partnership isn’t about the badge, but more about the road between the quiet and the noise, and what carries you across it,” adds Kotelo.

For Jeep® South Africa this partnership celebrates what real progress looks like: commitment, long roads, bold ambition and the resilience to keep going. Together, Sibusiso and Jeep® South Africa share a promise to show up, push forward and own the journey.
