Attacq Limited and Tricolt Group have broken ground on Aspire Waterfall City, one of the R15.3 bn precinct’s most anticipated new luxury residential developments. Launched a year ago, buyer demand for the 217 luxury apartments and penthouses starting from R1.9-million for an executive suite to R32.35-million for a penthouse has been strong, with more than 76% sold. Aspire Waterfall City offers residents easy access to one of South Africa’s most successful mixed-use precincts.

“Aspire’s unique location – positioned within an iconic smart city with a complete offering of residential, business, leisure and relaxation destinations, and directly connected to Mall of Africa – has been one of the development’s strongest selling points, appealing to both end-users seeking a convenient lock-up-and-go lifestyle and investors looking for long-term capital growth and rental demand,” said David Oosthuizen, Development Executive at Attacq. “This demonstrates continued demand for high-quality, well-located residential opportunities.”

Residents will enjoy amenities including a restaurant, pool with bar, fire pits and bomas.

The development also offers short-term letting through approved  operatorscreating an attractive opportunity for investors. “The success of neighbouring developments such as Ellipse has demonstrated the strength of this model, with short-term letting proving highly successful in delivering compelling returns on investment within the Waterfall City precinct.”

The development has attracted a notable number of repeat buyers, reflecting the investment value purchasers have experienced in previous Attacq and Tricolt developments, and strong trust that exists in the brands behind the project.

“Aspire Waterfall City is the kind of development we hoped to attract into Waterfall City when we began shaping this precinct,” said Oosthuizen. “The market response confirms what we have always known – that people want more than proximity to amenities; they want genuine connectivity. Attacq’s role has been to build that infrastructure and the confidence around it, and it is rewarding to see Attacq and Tricolt deliver a product that buyers are responding to at this scale.”

“We are proud to see Aspire Waterfall City break ground,” said Tim Kloeck, Chairman of Tricolt Group. “For us, Aspire represents the essence of what we believe great residential developments should deliver: enduring investment value, considered style, and an exceptional lived experience. We’ve created a lifestyle that is both convenient and future-focused. The strong market response, particularly from repeat buyers, is a powerful endorsement of the trust buyers place in our brand and the long-term value they see in this development.”

Aspire Waterfall City represents a continuation of both companies’ commitment to creating exceptional residential environments that deliver long-term value, elevated living and enduring investment appeal.

With construction expected to take approximately 22 months, the development is due for completion during the second quarter of 2028.
