Hyundai and Amazon have announced a strategic partnership aimed at delivering innovative customer experiences and driving cloud transformation in the automotive industry.

    1. As part of the collaboration, Amazon will launch the online sale of Hyundai vehicles in the United States starting in 2024. This move will provide customers with a convenient and seamless digital shopping experience.
    2. Hyundai has chosen Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its preferred cloud provider. AWS will support Hyundai in its digital transformation journey, offering a wide range of cloud capabilities to optimize various aspects of the company’s operations.
    3. Hyundai’s next-generation vehicles will feature the hands-free Alexa experience, allowing drivers to access a wide range of voice-controlled functionalities. This includes playing music, managing smart home devices, setting reminders, and even controlling in-vehicle systems like media players and navigation.
    4. With AWS’s extensive capabilities, Hyundai aims to become a more data-driven organization. By leveraging cloud technology, Hyundai will enhance its research, product engineering, customer engagement, and connected vehicle development.
    5. Hyundai is the first automotive company to offer full end-to-end transactions on Amazon’s U.S. store. This means customers can search for Hyundai vehicles based on their preferences, select their desired model, trim, and features, and complete the purchase online with their preferred payment and financing options.
    6. AWS and Hyundai have collaborated on a Master Builder training and certification program. This program aims to equip Hyundai engineers with essential cloud skills, enabling them to leverage AWS capabilities effectively.
