Huawei South Africa is calling on tech-savvy women entrepreneurs to apply for its highly regarded Women in Tech digital skills training programme for 2025. Now in its fourth year, this three-day intensive aims to equip women with the latest knowledge in emerging technologies and leadership skills to boost their businesses.

Applications are officially open for the training, which will take place from August 27 to 29 in Johannesburg. The first two days will be hosted at Huawei’s Johannesburg campus, where participants will explore how cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and 5G can solve real-world business challenges.

The final day, held at Henley Business School Africa, will focus on personal leadership, business resilience, and strategic adaptability—key skills for growth and long-term success.

This year’s theme, TechHERpreneur, emphasizes meeting women where they are—building, adapting, and leading through rapid technological change. The programme aims to provide practical skills and confidence, whether women are just starting out or looking to scale existing businesses.

A special feature this year is a business growth masterclass and a tech demo led by Stuff Magazine, showcasing accessible technological solutions for small businesses—from smartphones and productivity apps to digital visibility tools.

Huawei states that the initiative is designed for women entrepreneurs and professionals who are actively building or expanding their businesses. A total of 40 women will be selected based on their innovation potential, entrepreneurial drive, and growth mindset.

Vanashree Govender, Huawei’s Senior PR Manager, explained, “Whether you’re just gaining traction or future-proofing your business, this programme gives women the tools and confidence to thrive in a changing world.”

Linda Buckley, Pro Dean at Henley Business School Africa, added, “This partnership with Huawei delivers measurable impact—building digital fluency, personal mastery, and the confidence to grow beyond survival. We’re proud to support women who are shaping Africa’s future.”

Women interested in applying can submit their applications now for the 2025 cohort. This initiative offers a practical, impactful pathway for women entrepreneurs to harness technology for business growth and resilience.
