Standard Bank has been honoured as one of the World’s Most Trustworthy Companies for 2025, an accolade awarded by Newsweek in collaboration with Statista. This marks the bank’s third consecutive year on this prestigious list.

This recognition places Standard Bank alongside a select group of global companies that have earned the trust of customers, investors, and employees through consistent performance, transparency, and purpose-driven leadership.

The evaluation process for this recognition involved survey responses from over 65,000 individuals across 20 countries, as well as sentiment analysis of more than 500,000 online mentions. Out of the thousands of companies assessed, only 1,000 were included in the final ranking, with Standard Bank being one of 96 South African companies considered.

The CEO of Standard Bank Group, Sim Tshabalala, highlighted that this recognition reinforces the bank’s commitment to its mission. He stated that the accolade serves as a powerful endorsement of the bank’s purpose, which is to drive growth in Africa. Trust, according to Tshabalala, is built over time through every interaction, decision, and promise kept, reflecting how the bank supports its customers, engages with employees, and provides value to investors.

The recognition aligns with Standard Bank’s strategy to deliver sustainable growth and create shared value within the communities it serves, underscoring the values that guide its operations and the positive impact it aims to have across the African continent.
