Checkers, a leading South African retailer, has introduced Xtra Savings Plus, a monthly subscription service priced at R99. The subscription offers unlimited free deliveries through its popular on-demand grocery service, Sixty60.

    1. Checkers Sixty60 allows customers to order groceries in just 60 seconds and have them delivered within 60 minutes for a nominal fee of R35. With the Xtra Savings Plus subscription, customers can now enjoy unlimited free deliveries with a minimum spend of R350.
    2. Since its launch in 2019, Sixty60 has experienced a surge in demand, particularly during the lockdown period. Customers appreciate the convenience of shopping from home and tracking their orders in real-time.
    3. Xtra Savings Plus combines the advantages of Checkers’ existing Xtra Savings rewards program with the convenience of Sixty60. Subscribers can save an extra 10% in-store, up to a maximum of R200 per month, and receive double the personalized offers both in-app and in-store.
    4. The subscription service does not require long-term commitments, allowing subscribers to pause or cancel at any time. Checkers also offers a money-back guarantee for added reassurance.
    5. Checkers Sixty60 is now available in 466 locations across South Africa, offering a wide reach for customers to access the unlimited free delivery service.
    6. Shoprite Holding’s results for the past year showed that Checkers Sixty60 experienced an impressive sales increase of 81.5%. The introduction of the Xtra Savings Plus subscription is expected to further enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales growth for the retailer.
