    Libstar Appoints Group Chief Operating Officer

    Libstar is pleased to announce the appointment of Cornél Lodewyks as Group Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective 1 August 2026.

    Cornél currently serves as an Executive Director of Libstar and Managing Executive of Lancewood, the Group’s largest operating division. He will continue to serve on the Libstar Board as an Executive Director while transitioning from his role at Lancewood to assume Group-wide COO responsibilities.

    In his new role, Cornél will be responsible for driving operational performance across the Group and strengthening collaboration, efficiency and the delivery of sustainable value for customers, employees, shareholders and other stakeholders.

    Cornél has been a valued member of the Libstar leadership team for several years and has made a significant contribution to the Group’s operational performance, strategic execution and value creation.

    His extensive experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, together with his proven operational, commercial and leadership capabilities, positions him well to support the continued execution of Libstar’s strategy and long-term growth ambition.

    Commenting on the appointment, Charl de Villiers, Libstar CEO, said: “Cornél is a highly respected leader with a strong track record of execution, commercial discipline and delivering results. His appointment reflects the depth of talent within Libstar and reinforces our commitment to building the leadership capability required to execute our strategy and create lasting value.”

    The appointment forms part of Libstar’s ongoing focus on effective succession planning, strong governance and ensuring the Group has the leadership capacity to support its strategic and operational priorities.

    Jacques Hill, who currently fulfils the role of Category Executive: Dairy, will succeed Cornél as Managing Executive at Lancewood.
