Mazda Southern Africa is pleased to announce the promotion of Kyron Pather to the position of Head of Operations (Sales & Service), effective April 2026.

Pather’s appointment marks a significant step in strengthening Mazda Southern Africa’s operational leadership, as the company continues to enhance its customer experience, dealer network performance, and service excellence across the region.

Previously serving as General Manager – Parts Business, Pather has been an integral member of the Mazda Southern Africa team, where he held full responsibility for the end-to-end management of the national OEM parts operation. In this role, he successfully drove measurable improvements in parts availability, inventory optimisation, and dealer service levels, ensuring consistent and reliable support across the dealer network.

In his new role as Head of Operations, Pather will oversee the company’s Sales, Service, and Parts operations – driving alignment across the business and ensuring a seamless, high-quality customer and dealer experience. His leadership will play a key role in advancing Mazda Southern Africa’s commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

During his tenure, Pather has worked closely with Mazda Motor Corporation and global supply partners to enhance supply chain efficiency, maintain pricing competitiveness, and align local operations with global standards. His ability to balance strong operational discipline with a clear commercial focus has significantly strengthened Mazda’s aftersales performance in the market.

Commenting on the appointment, Managing Director Bonite van der Merwe said Pather has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and a clear commitment to both the brand and its customers.

Pather added that he looks forward to working closely with internal teams and dealer partners to continue delivering exceptional customer experiences and building on Mazda’s strong foundation in the market.

Mazda Southern Africa continues to position itself as a customer-centric, accessible premium automotive brand guided by its campaign platform “Wonderrrr Awaits” – a celebration of curiosity, exploration, and the joy of discovery. This philosophy reflects the brand’s commitment to creating vehicles and experiences that inspire customers to embrace every journey with a sense of possibility and excitement.

Rooted in Mazda’s philosophy of human-centric engineering and driving enjoyment, the brand focuses on delivering vehicles that combine thoughtful design, advanced technology, and refined craftsmanship. Through a strong emphasis on quality, reliability, and service excellence, Mazda Southern Africa aims to create meaningful connections with customers at every touchpoint.

Pather’s appointment reinforces Mazda Southern Africa’s focus on building a high-performance organisation, enhancing operational efficiencies, and delivering a seamless, differentiated customer experience aligned to its premium positioning and the spirit of “Wonderrrr Awaits.”
