    Olivia Abiatal Appointed as Chief Executive Officer

    The Public Accountants and Auditors Board of Namibia (PAAB) has appointed Olivia PS Abiatal, CA(NAM), as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 January 2026.

    Abiatal will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the operational management of the regulator, including the execution of PAAB’s mandate in the public interest in line with national legislation and applicable local and international reporting standards.

    The Board said the appointment forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen regulatory oversight and support the development of the accounting and auditing profession in Namibia.

    PAAB said it remains committed to enhancing the quality of accounting and auditing standards, promoting effective regulation, and maintaining engagement with local, regional and international stakeholders.

    The Board added that it looks forward to continued collaboration with stakeholders under Abiatal’s leadership.
