Housing Company Tshwane (HCT), a municipal entity fully owned by the City of Tshwane, is responsible for developing and managing social and affordable housing across the capital. The organisation has announced an opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive team on a five-year fixed-term, performance-based contract.

The CFO will play a central role in supporting the Chief Executive Officer and Board in realising HCT’s strategic objectives. The role involves overseeing the entire Finance Department, developing sound financial management systems, and ensuring the entity’s financial stability through strong governance, effective controls, and compliance with legislative frameworks.

Applicants must hold a relevant NQF Level 7 qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Economics and be registered as a Chartered Accountant (CA). A minimum of seven to ten years’ experience in financial accounting or a related field is required, with at least five years in a managerial capacity. Knowledge of GRAP, MFMA, and audit standards is essential, alongside proven leadership, risk management, and financial strategy experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping HCT’s financial strategy, ensuring transparent resource allocation, and managing investments to support major capital and maintenance projects. The role also includes identifying new funding opportunities, ensuring compliance with audit requirements, and promoting effective financial reporting across all operations.

MJV Recruitment & Consulting Agency has been appointed to manage the recruitment process. Interested applicants are invited to submit a comprehensive CV and certified documentation to CFOHCT@mjvrecruitment.co.za by 2 November 2025. Late applications will not be accepted, and correspondence will only be made with shortlisted candidates. HCT encourages applications from designated groups, including persons with disabilities, and reserves the right not to appoint.
