GE Healthcare is Looking for a Senior Vice President

    September 10, 2025By Staff Writer
    GE Healthcare

GE Healthcare is looking for a Senior Vice President for their Southern Africa operations, based in Johannesburg. This role will focus on providing financing solutions for customers through GE Healthcare Financial Services (HFS). HFS includes various financing options such as Captive Finance, Healthcare Equipment Finance, and Working Capital Solutions. The aim is to leverage over 400 mid-market relationships to boost orders and sales across the GE Healthcare portfolio.

As a global leader in medical technology and digital solutions, GE Healthcare is dedicated to improving lives during critical moments. The organisation encourages individuals to unlock their potential and contribute to a healthier world.

    Key Responsibilities

The Senior Vice President will be responsible for developing and implementing financing products in collaboration with commercial and product teams at GE Healthcare. This includes establishing effective internal processes to enhance market penetration and build strong relationships with C-suite executives to maximise profitability.

The successful candidate will lead the entire sales cycle, which encompasses prospecting, client engagement, proposal development, and negotiation. They will also collaborate with Capital Markets to create third-party financing programmes for mid-ticket equipment.

Additionally, the role involves managing relationships with banking partners and regularly analysing sales data to identify potential opportunities and financing solutions. The Senior Vice President will prepare proposals, lead client meetings, and develop tailored financial solutions to meet the needs of customers.

    Qualifications Required

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree along with significant experience in Direct Sales, Risk, Finance, or related fields. Alternatively, a high school diploma with extensive financial services experience may be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is essential, as well as a solid understanding of financial statement analysis.

    Desired Characteristics

An MBA is preferred, along with a background in a GE Healthcare Leadership Programme. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data are crucial, as well as excellent communication and influencing abilities. Proven experience in building relationships with senior executives is necessary, alongside a deep understanding of credit and financial statements.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills and a successful track record in commercial lending or leasing sales are also important.

Familiarity with leasing and loan structures, along with expertise in corporate financial analysis, will be beneficial. Experience working with both local and international financial institutions to structure financing products is required. Fluency in English is essential for this role.
