    Coronation Fund Managers Seeks CFO & FD

    Coronation Fund Managers, a leading player in the investment management industry, is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Financial Director to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take the helm of the company’s financial operations.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, taking a hands-on approach to managing the finance team, financial reporting, and analysis. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will work closely with the CEO, senior executives, and non-executive directors to develop and implement strategies that support the company’s growth and sustainability. In addition, the CFO will oversee integrated reporting, ESG, and sustainability reporting functions relevant to the Group.

    The role demands a deep understanding of financial systems, compliance, and corporate governance. The CFO will manage the company’s accounting functions, ensure robust financial systems are in place, and oversee budgeting and cost control processes. They will also take ultimate responsibility for cash flow and capital management, participate in investor relations activities, and oversee company secretarial and internal audit functions. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and tax requirements is also a key part of this role.

    Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of financial management experience, including five years serving on a Board and managing teams. A qualified Chartered Accountant is essential, along with strong IT skills and familiarity with emerging technologies. Experience with SAGE Intacct would be advantageous.

    The most successful candidate will be a commercially astute, articulate, and influential leader capable of operating effectively at both strategic and operational levels. They should be insightful, dynamic, and possess the ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
