BMW has revealed the second-generation BMW X2, showcasing a refreshed design, cutting-edge technology, and larger dimensions compared to its predecessor.

    1. Set to hit South African markets in early 2024, the new BMW X2 is 194mm longer, 21mm wider, and 64mm taller, boasting a 2,692mm wheelbase shared with the latest-generation BMW X1.
    2. While an all-electric iX2 version will not be available in South Africa, the local market will offer two petrol-powered options: the performance-oriented X2 M35i xDrive and the sDrive18i.
    3. The X2 M35i xDrive features a powerful 233kW engine, xDrive all-wheel drive, adaptive M suspension, M Compound brakes, and a unique exterior design package with integrated tailpipes.
    4. The sDrive18i, on the other hand, delivers turbo-charged three-cylinder power to the front wheels, likely offering 115kW and 230Nm.
    5. The new BMW X2 boasts various visual enhancements, including larger wheels ranging from 18 to 21 inches in diameter, a BMW Iconic Glow illuminated grille, and Adaptive LED headlights with matrix high beam.
    6. Inside the cabin, the X2 inherits the BMW Curved Display, BMW Operating System 9, and the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, while offering optional features like sports seats, Vernasca leather upholstery, and advanced driver assistance systems.
