Honda introduces the all-new Motocompacto, an electric scooter that folds up into the shape of a regular suitcase, priced at $995 (R18,700).

    1. The Motocompacto will be available exclusively in North American markets starting from November, offering a unique solution for urban travel, campus cruising, and recreational use.
    2. Weighing only 19kg, the battery-powered suitcase scooter is easy to carry and fits into most packing spaces, making it convenient for transportation and storage.
    3. With a front-wheel motor assembly delivering approximately 0.5kW and 16Nm, the Motocompacto can reach a top speed of 24km/h in just seven seconds, providing efficient and zippy rides.
    4. The scooter is powered by a 6.8Ah battery pack, offering a riding range of approximately 19km. It can be fully charged in three-and-a-half hours when connected to a 110V socket.
    5. The Motocompacto features a pedal-less body, a cushy seat, secure grip foot pegs, onboard storage, a digital speedometer, and a charge gauge. Bluetooth support allows riders to connect to a phone app for personalized settings.
    6. Built with a heat-treated aluminum frame and wheels, the scooter prioritizes safety. It also includes LED headlights and taillights, side reflectors, and a welded steel lock loop for added security.
