    Airbus soars to new heights with 500 plane order

    Airbus announced the biggest single order for airliners ever – a firm order for 500 A320 planes from IndiGo.

    1. The order will take IndiGo’s total Airbus aircraft orders and acquisitions to 1,330.
    2. IndiGo’s fleet currently comprises 264 operational Airbus aircraft, mostly A320neo and A321neo models.
    3. IndiGo has been ordering and receiving Airbus A320 aircraft since 2005, starting with 100 planes and building up to the latest 500 plane order.
    4. Saudi carrier flynas also placed an order for 30 A320neo aircraft, taking its total orders with Airbus to 120 A320neo family planes.
    5. Air Mauritius ordered three A350 widebodies, bringing its A350 fleet to seven aircraft.
