Cricket South Africa (CSA), the national governing body for cricket, is seeking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced Anti-Corruption Officer to strengthen its integrity and compliance function.
This role is critical in safeguarding the sport by investigating corruption-related matters, managing intelligence, and ensuring adherence to both local and international anti-corruption frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading investigations into corruption and unethical conduct, including breaches of ICC Anti-Corruption Codes and related policies. The role includes collecting and analysing evidence, conducting interviews, managing cases, and recommending disciplinary actions.
You will work closely with law enforcement agencies, the ICC Integrity Unit, betting operators, and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate corruption risks. The role also involves monitoring betting markets, conducting risk assessments, and developing intelligence systems to proactively detect threats.
In addition, you will maintain accurate records, manage confidential data, support reporting processes, and contribute to the strategic direction of CSA’s Anti-Corruption Unit.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates should hold a National Diploma in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Forensic Investigation, Information Technology, or a related field. A relevant Bachelor’s degree will be advantageous.
Applicants must have at least five years’ experience investigating fraud or corruption-related cases, as well as experience working with law enforcement agencies. A minimum of two years’ experience in intelligence or related systems is required.
Key Competencies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and produce actionable insights. A solid understanding of legal frameworks, forensic techniques, and the law enforcement environment is essential.
Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Office, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work discreetly with sensitive information. Strong organisational, networking, and multi-tasking abilities are critical, along with the capacity to perform under pressure.
Additional Information
The role reports to the Anti-Corruption Specialist and requires flexibility to travel, work extended hours, and be available over weekends and public holidays when required.
