PHOTOS: Introducing the All-New 2025 Kia Tasman

    October 29, 2024

Kia has officially unveiled the 2025 Tasman, its first-ever pickup truck, designed to compete with the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux. The Tasman will launch in markets like South Korea, Australia, the Middle East, and Africa. This midsize truck will offer both single- and double-cab configurations, along with a customizable chassis cab for business owners.

The Tasman features a distinctive design, highlighted by vertical headlights and a bold front fascia. It employs a body-on-frame construction, setting it apart from unibody competitors like the Maverick. Inside, the cabin combines ruggedness with a modern feel, featuring a triple-screen setup that includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display.

Power options vary by market, including a 2.5-liter gasoline engine in Korea and a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine in Australia, both offering robust performance. The Tasman boasts impressive towing and payload capacities, along with advanced off-road capabilities, such as multiple drive modes and water fording ability.

Kia plans to introduce the Tasman first in Korea in early 2025, followed by launches in other regions. Future plans also include an electric variant, enhancing Kia’s commitment to innovation in the automotive industry.
