Audi South Africa expands popular Q3 range with the addition of new 35 TDI diesel variants

    September 26, 2024

Audi is extending its engine range for the Audi Q3 to include a new 35 TDI engine, which joins the 35 and 40 TFSI powerplants (alongside the famed 2.5-litre TFSI engine from the RS Q3) in the Q3 and Q3 Sportback ranges to offer an expanded choice for buyers shopping in the premium-compact SUV and CUV markets.

The new 2.0-litre TDI engine boasts two balancer shafts in the crankcase to minimise internal friction and enhance refinement. This smooth-running unit delivers 110kW and 340Nm of torque from 1,750 to 3,000rpm. In combination with Audi’s seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and front-wheel drive, the TDI option has a low claimed fuel consumption figure in the combined cycle of just 4.9L/100km. Performance is equally impressive; the Q3 35 TDI takes just 9.2 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100km/h, with the propulsive power ending at 207km/h.

The 35 TDI engine will be sold exclusively in Urban Edition and Black Edition trim lines as part of Audi South Africa’s strategy of offering buyers maximum value and convenience when choosing their vehicles. Both Urban and Black Edition specifications bundle together those features that South African buyers love most in their Audi models, effectively removing much of the guesswork when selecting a new vehicle.

What’s more, Audi Financial Services offers tailored finance options on these new models, enhancing their value further. Through Audi Assured, the guaranteed future value of these special edition models is established at the beginning of the contract term, giving buyers peace of mind knowing in advance the value they can receive for their model of choice at the end of the contract term. Audi Financial Services also offers insurance options tailored to customers’ specific requirements.

    Urban Edition: the classic choice

The new Q3 and Q3 Sportback 35 TDI Urban Editions offers a more classic Audi design language with chrome highlights. Urban Editions boast the following features as standard:

    • 18-inch alloy wheels
    • Panoramic glass sunroof
    • Parking aid Plus
    • Comfort key (keyless entry and start)
    • Rear-view camera
    • Electric tailgate

The Q3 35 TDI 110kW S tronic Urban Edition retails for R832,270, while the Q3 Sportback 35 TDI 110kW S tronic Urban Edition costs R857,870. All Audis feature a five-year/100,000km Audi Freeway Plan service and maintenance plan as standard.

    Black Edition: the striking choice

The Black Edition models favour more contemporary trim combinations, with blacked-out elements throughout. On the new Q3 and Q3 Sportback 35 TDI Black Editions, buyers can expect the following noteworthy features:

    • 19-inch alloy wheels
    • Panoramic glass sunroof
    • Black exterior mirror housings and Black styling package plus
    • Parking aid Plus
    • Comfort key (keyless entry and start)
    • Rear-view camera
    • Electric tailgate
    • Black headliner
    • Electrically adjustable sport front seats
    • Seat heating
    • Flat-bottom steering wheel
    • Storage and luggage compartment package

The Q3 35 TDI 110kW S tronic Black Edition is listed at R908,450, while the Q3 Sportback 35 TDI 110kW S tronic Black Edition retails for R934,050.

All variants are available from Audi Dealers immediately. Visit www.audi.co.za to find out more about these new models, as well as the compelling finance options available through Audi Financial Services.
